These Terms and Drawing Rules govern participation in the Black Men and the Ballot Community Survey and $100 Gift Card Drawing.

The drawing is open to eligible individuals who:
Are at least 18 years old.
Reside in Harford County, Maryland.
Complete the survey during the entry period.
Provide accurate contact information if they choose to enter the drawing.
Employees, representatives, contractors, and immediate family members of the sponsor may be excluded from participating.
The drawing begins when the survey becomes available and ends on:
October 12, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time
Entries received after the deadline may not be accepted.
To enter:
Complete and submit the Black Men and the Ballot survey.
Select the option indicating that you would like to participate in the gift-card drawing.
Provide accurate contact information so you can be notified if selected.
Only one entry per person is permitted. Entries submitted through automated, fraudulent, incomplete, or unauthorized methods may be disqualified.
Survey participation is voluntary. You do not have to provide optional contact information unless you wish to be contacted about the drawing or other follow-up.
One eligible winner will receive a $100 gift card.
The prize is not transferable and may not be exchanged for cash unless required by law. The sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable.
One potential winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries received before the deadline.
The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
The potential winner may be contacted by email or telephone using the information provided during entry. If the potential winner does not respond within seven days, cannot be verified, or is otherwise ineligible, an alternate winner may be selected.
The winner may be required to confirm eligibility and provide information reasonably necessary for prize delivery.
The winner is responsible for any taxes, fees, or expenses associated with accepting or using the prize.
The sponsor may disqualify any entrant who:
Provides false or misleading information.
Attempts to enter more than once.
Uses automated or fraudulent methods.
Interferes with the survey, website, or drawing process.
Violates these Terms and Drawing Rules.
Information collected through the survey will be handled according to the [Privacy Policy](/privacy-policy).
By choosing to provide contact information, you may be contacted about the gift-card drawing, survey follow-up, community discussions, or the October 12 community conversation. You may request that communications stop at any time.
The sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, inaccurate, misdirected, or undeliverable entries or communications; technical failures; website interruptions; or unauthorized interference with the drawing.
By participating, entrants agree to release and hold harmless the sponsor and its representatives from claims arising from participation in the drawing or acceptance or use of the prize, except where prohibited by law.
The sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the drawing if fraud, technical problems, legal requirements, or circumstances beyond the sponsor’s control affect the fairness or operation of the drawing.
These Terms and Drawing Rules are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
This drawing and survey are not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, or Meta Platforms, Inc.
